The Medford Democratic ward caucuses will take place Saturday, February 24, 2018. The caucuses begin at 10am; registration opens at 9:30.

The caucuses are used to select delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party Convention. This year’s state convention will be held June 1-2 at the DCU Center in Worcester, where thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to endorse Democratic candidates for statewide office, including constitutional officers and gubernatorial candidates.
The caucuses are open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Medford. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 18 by September 18, 2018 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate.
Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org.
Candidates nights Oct 12 & 18
The Medford Democratic City Committee and the Medford Ward 6 Democratic Committee will be hosting two candidates nights for the upcoming municipal election:
Thursday, October 12th, 2017
7:00 p.m. Mayoral Candidates
8:00 p.m. School Committee Candidates
Wednesday, October 18th, 2017
7:00 p.m. City Council Candidates
Both events will take place at Medford City Hall, in the Alden Chambers.
All candidates have been invited to share their vision for the city and the office for which they are running.
The candidates nights are open to all and will be broadcast on local access channel 22 (Comcast) or 43 (Verizon).
Ward 8 meeting June 1
The Medford Ward 8 Democratic Committee will have its next meeting Thursday, June 1, at 7pm. It will take place at the home of ward chair Maxim Weinstein, 57 Ashland Street. All are welcome.
Ward 8 includes parts of Medford Square and South Medford. If you vote at the Senior Center on Riverside Ave or the VFW on Mystic Ave, you’re in ward 8. See WhereDoIVoteMA.com to find your ward.
Ward caucuses March 25
The 2017 Medford Democratic Ward Caucuses will be held Saturday, March 25.
The purpose of the caucuses is to elect delegates to the Democratic State Convention, which will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Tsongas Center in Lowell DCU Center in Worcester.

Place: Alden Chambers, Medford City Hall
All registered Democrats are eligible to vote at the caucuses.
Registration will open at 9:45am and will continue until all persons presenting themselves by 10:15am are registered.
Ward caucuses & organizational meetings
Ward caucuses and organizational meetings for all wards will take place on Saturday, March 5, 10am at Medford City Hall.
The ward caucuses will elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Convention on June 4 in Lowell.
All Democrats are welcome to attend the caucuses. Only those registered as Democrats at an address within the ward as of January 31, 2016, will be eligible to vote in the caucus or to be nominated as a delegate.
Note: These are not the caucuses to elect delegates to the Democratic National Convention. Those will take place on April 9. See MassDems.org for more information.
The organizational meetings will be used to elect officers for each ward committee and for the Medford Democratic City Committee. Again, all Democrats are welcome to attend. However, only current members of the ward committees will be eligible to vote for officers. Those interested in becoming new members of the ward and city committees are encouraged to attend.
Introductory meeting February 21
The Medford Ward 1 and Ward 8 Democratic Committees will be hosting an introductory meeting on Sunday, February 21, at 4pm. Come learn how to get involved in your Democratic Party!

Medford ward caucuses on Feb. 22
On February 22 at 10:00am, the Medford ward committees will hold their caucuses to select delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Convention. The convention will take place Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the DCU Center in Worcester. This year the convention is an endorsing convention, where candidates for our statewide offices will seek to earn the nomination of the party delegates.

All are welcome to attend the caucuses. Any individual registered as a Democrat as of January 31, 2014, may vote in the caucus for the ward in which he or she is registered. Only those present may vote or be nominated as delegate candidates. (Members of the U.S. armed forces that are unable to attend may request to be eligible for nomination by writing to the ward chair prior to February 8.)
