Candidates Night Forums

The Medford Democratic Party will be holding its annual Candidates’ Night Forums with a focus on the highly contested local races for Mayor, School Committee and City Council.

The Mayoral and School Committee race will be held on October 5th beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Alden Chambers at Medford City Hall with a small reception at 6:30 p.m.

The City Council forum will be held on October 12th starting at 7:00 p.m. in Alden Chambers at City Hall with a small reception at 6:30 p.m.

Candidates will be asked questions by guest panelists, who will include this year representatives from the Medford Transcript, the Medford Daily Mercury and the addition this year of the new online newspaper, The Medford Patch.

Both events will be televised live on Channel 16 with a simulcast on Channel 3.

This year’s moderators for the event are Democratic City and Ward Committee members, Henry Milorin and Carolyn Rosen.

The public is invited to attend these informational events to see and hear the candidates running in the general election on the November 8th ballot.

October City Committee meeting

The October meeting of the Medford Democratic City Committee will be held October 13, 7:00 pm (social at 6:30), in the Alden Chambers at Medford City Hall.

All of our local and state Democratic candidates have been invited to attend and to give a brief two-minute presentation.

The Medford Democratic Party will be holding two Candidates’ Night Forums with a local focus on the highly contested School Committee and City Council races.

The School Committee forum will be held on October 7th beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Alden Chambers at City Hall with a small reception at 7:00 p.m.  Candidates will be asked questions by guest panelists, who will include representatives of the local newspapers, the Medford Transcript and the Medford Daily Mercury, with the addition this year of Medford’s newest online newspaper Insidemedford.com.   Our guest citizen panelist this year is community activist Gwen Blackburn, Chairperson for the State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Racial Imbalance Advisory Council.

The City Council forum will be held on October 21st beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Alden Chambers at City Hall with a small reception at 6:30 p.m.  Candidates will be asked questions by representatives from the Medford Transcript, the Medford Mercury and Insidemedford.com.
